‘The Muppets’ Contains Offensive Material

The Muppets was once commemorated for its depictions Native American, Middle Eastern, and Asian people. There are some moments that have not made it through the modification in mindsets because they initially aired. Country vocalist Johnny Cash is seen carrying out in front of a Confederate flag in one episode.

“Disney is dedicated to developing stories with inspirational and aspirational themes that show the rich variety of the human experience around the world. This program includes unfavorable representations and/or mistreatment of cultures or people. These stereotypes were wrong then and are incorrect now. Rather than remove this material, we wish to acknowledge its damaging impact, learn from it, and trigger conversation to create a more inclusive future together,” the disclaimer says.

That previous staple of southern country is now verboten, as seen by the recent apology from singer Luke Combs for his previous use of it.
